Each month students gain access to one additional video in the Original Art Blueprint course. An in-depth video course teaching creatives how to construct a finished masterpiece from small, simple ideas and concepts. A course integrated with the monthly artist challenge.

Each month students will apply the corresponding lesson from the Original Art Blueprint course to the monthly artist challenge. Students will learn fun and simple ways to use a sketchbook as a means of self-expression and idea development.

The following supplies are recommended for this class - a basic sketchbook, any drawing and color utensils, any acrylic paint, brushes, and canvases. Work with what you have!

Gain access to exclusive pet commission and wildlife acrylic painting tutorials that explain the “why” and “how” behind Lauren’s work. Learn how to use value, shape, form, color, texture, and lines to express your own creative vision.

Students can also participate in a monthly optional critique. Creatives can submit photos of their work to recieve gentle, helpful feedback from Lauren herself via the monthly Newsletter.

Are you an oil painter or a colored pencil animal artist? That’s just fine! The course and challenge can still be applied to other visual art mediums - pastels, colored pencils, copic markers, oil paint, gauche, and watercolor.

I’m SO happy with my work since I’ve been watching your videos. You’ve helped me so much in finding my style. I applied what you taught to a highland cow painting for my niece.

  • Yes, all past video lessons will remain up in the Original Art Blueprint course and keep building off of one another.

  • A basic sketchbook is highly recommended, or better yet a mixed media sketchbook (Canon and Strathmore brands I use). You can also use a notebook or printer paper or canvas.

  • Nope, you can use any drawing and/or coloring tools you have available. Even different colored pens or highlighters will do. When it comes to colors I recommend you have - yellow, orange, red, blue, pink, green, purple, and black. I use Prisma colored pencils and CIAO copic markers.

  • You just need to know the basic acrylic painting techniques. That includes layering, blending, wet-into-wet, and dry brush technique. All the fundamental techniques taught in the Online Animal Art Masterclass that I build on in this class!

  • Within the course the artist challenge is announced on the 1st day of each month and a winner is chosen on the second to last day of each month. That gives students a little less than one month to complete each challenge.
